Meet Our New Head of School

We are extremely pleased to announce that God has lead Mr. Joshua (Josh) Hardin to Beth Haven to serve as our next Head of School, effective June 1, 2018. Please be assured that our current staff will serve in various leadership roles for the remainder of this school year. Our Children and Families are in great hands for the remainder of the year.

Mr. Joshua Hardin was born and raised locally in the Valley Station area. After graduating from Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Secondary Education he began to work at North Hardin Christian School in Radcliff, Kentucky. There he taught for a period of fourteen years developing and growing in various capacities of leadership in which the local church and school required.  He diligently served in many other ways such as a soccer coach, a bus driver, a VBS Director, a Mission Trip Coordinator, and life coach. The Lord directed his heart toward discipleship and eventually he became a youth leader. Soon after, he was ordained in the ministry and became a Youth Pastor.

Through God’s leading, the community of Valley Station was placed on his heart and he followed the Lord by accepting the position of Family Pastor at Highview Baptist Church in Valley Station where he has served as youth pastor, children’s ministry director, and FCA coordinator for Valley Football since January 2017.  There, he continues to assist the families of Highview by directing the children’s ministries and leading the youth ministry. His heart, however, has never left his first passion, the importance of Christian education. While pastoring, he has continued working during the past year as a Christian school teacher at Whitefield Academy.

Mr. Hardin considers his crowning joy to be the blessings of the home and family the Lord has given him. He and his wife, Cecilia, have been happily married for 14 years this December and have six children. They have an adopted son named DeAngelo Hicks who is serving the Lord in the public school system. Their other children are Harvey (9), Michael (7), Gideon (4), Celia Brie (2), and Carolina Belle (1 month!) Needless to say, he is family man at heart, mind, and soul and has a passion for equipping families in anyway that would help center their homes on Christ and the Great Commission. This upcoming school year we will see Mr. Hardin move his family and become a part of the bigger family of Beth Haven in 2018. Wherever he goes and whatever he does, he seeks to apply his life verse, Galatians 2:20, which says, “I am crucified with Christ and yet not I, but the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loves me and gave himself for me.”

Please join us in welcoming the Hardin Family to The Beth Haven Family. We plan to have a meet and greet for everyone sometime during the summer of 2018.
