The applicable policy — Bylaw 24, Section 3 — stipulates: “Students may not receive coaching or training from school personnel(either salaried or non-salaried) and school facilities, uniforms, nicknames, transportation or equipment shall not be used each year in any KHSAA-sanctioned sport or cheerleading squad during the period beginning with June 25, and going through July 9. Welcome to the Home Sweet Home Boardinghouse, where life is anything but normal. Miss Harriet runs a clean, cozy home with the help of the none-too-bright and perpetually terrified Tweenie, and accompanied by as zany a cast of boarders as you are likely to meet. There’s Mr. Richards, the poet who practices dying to spark his inspiration. Gladys Klotz is a taxidermist who has a direct line to the spirit world and prefers her men stuffed, while Martha Willis has every imaginable illness, from leprosy to pneumonia to heart palpitations... and loves every minute of it. Poor Hortense tries her best to keep up with Ivy, a free spirited ’artist’ who enjoys painting people’s faces, whether they want to be painted or not. Believe it or not, the holiday season is quickly coming upon us. As we turn our attention to praising God for the baby born for the salvation of the world, we are handed the great opportunity to be a blessing to children all over the world. Through Operation Christmas Child, we can bless less-fortunate children all over the world through a simple shoebox filled with everyday supplies and toys that we take for granted.
Throughout the month of November, we will be collecting shoeboxes here at Beth Haven. Along with this letter, you will find all you need to fill and prepare your shoebox.
Prayerfully consider how many shoeboxes you could supply to this great ministry. Please have your shoeboxes to school by November 17.
A small shoebox can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. Be a part of changing children's lives all over the world in Jesus' Name through the power of a simple gift with Operation Christmas Child.

We apologize for the lateness, but unforeseen licensing issues required our attention prior to distribution. Whether your student is in the BHCS building or is practicing at Shively Baptist, they will all get their tickets to bring home today.
• Admission – Doors open at 6:30 tonight. Lines are to form outside the church’s entry doors on the west and east side of the auditorium. (The lines will be brought inside if weather requires.) Admission will require either a presale ticket or $5 per person.
• Parents of Cast and Crew – Look for another email with ticketing information specific to your situation.
• Video Recording – Due to recently uncovered licensing issues, previous permission to videotape the performance has been rescinded. Videotaping in any form violates copyright.
• Thank you for understanding this last minute legal stipulation.
Please plan to arrive at Shively Baptist in plenty of time to allow for restroom and drinking fountain breaks, and to be seated before 7 pm. The show is planned to start promptly at 7 pm. Entry after that time will be highly restricted to avoid interfering with the seated guests’ experience for the evening.
