Parents,
Out of an abundance of caution, we are notifying you that LMPD has received a nonspecific threat for Friday, January 8, 2016 against unnamed schools-the report did not specify whether the schools were public or private. This appears to be another in a series of threats being reported to educational institutions across the country.
Tomorrow, we will operate on a normal schedule but a heightened level of security. Therefore, exterior doors will be locked at all times and hallway traffic will be minimized and monitored on Friday. ALL ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE. The door will remained locked and staff will be outside to let students into the building.
Please check your email tomorrow regarding dismissal procedures. If, for any reason, school is cancelled tomorrow, you will be notified via INOW email and WDRB.
