Are you equipped to serve? From March 7-9, students at Beth Haven participated in an event filled Serve Week. Middle and High school students started the day by gathering for worship and preaching. For the remainder of the day they worked along side classmates in groups to complete various community projects. The Bearcats worked on projects at Iroquois Park, Sun Valley Park, in local neighborhoods, cleaned the school, and hosted a car wash fundraiser in support of Southwest Community Ministries.
Over a period of 3 days they accomplished much:
- The car wash fundraiser for Southwest Community Ministries raised over $350.
- Over 450 trees were mulched at Sun Valley Park.
- Over 1 acre of land was mulched at Iroquois Park.
- Groups doing neighborhood street-side cleanup collected trash alongside over 4 miles of road.
A special thanks go to pastors Chris Arnold and Ryan Waggoner of Valley View Church, and Mark Bishop of Highview Baptist Church for prepping and challenging the students spiritually each morning.
