Fans enjoyed another great day at the James A. Hall Holiday Classic on Friday to complete pool play on the Boy’s side and set the final match-ups for the conclusion of the tournament on Saturday.
Brown and Louisville Collegiate, both undefeated, will meet at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Fieldhouse to determine the champion and runner-up of this year’s Holiday Classic.
Prior to the championship game, Heritage Academy and Portland Christian will meet at 11:00 AM to determine 5th and 6th place, followed by Beth Haven and Bath County at 12:30 PM (3rd/4th).
Bath County earned their spot with a 69-51 victory over Portland Christian, while Beth Haven was victorious over Heritage Academy by a margin of 73-39, led by Victor Billingslea’s 18 points.
Beth Haven’s coach Michael Stinnett had this to say about the victory and Saturday’s game, “We are excited to be back on the winning track and now face a big challenge in Bath County. We must handle their pressure defense and rebound well. Coach Tiller (Bath Co.) is a good friend of mine and does a great job.”
Saturday’s girls games will find the host Lady Bearcats look to continue their winning streak with a 5:00 PM tip-off against Eminence that will follow Brown and Heritage Academy at 3:30. Beth Haven earned their second straight Holiday Classic victory by defeating Heritage Academy on Friday 49-34.

Alexis Bowles had 16 points, including 10-11 from the free throw line, and Hayley Rader added 19 points, 21 rebounds and 3 blocks.
