Our BatCats opened their seasons with victories Wednesday night in the first round of the 6th region “ALL A” tournament.
After delays to the opening of the baseball season, the Bearcats wasted no time in getting things rolling early and hold on to be victorious over Shawnee by the final score of 10-2. That win advanced them to the championship to face Holy Cross, where the Cougars would come out on top and claim the 6th Region championship and move on to the state tournament to be played later in the season. We hope for all the best as the Cougars compete for the state title.
The softball team slugged their way to 16 first-inning runs and never looked back as they went on to beat Shawnee by the final score of 34-12. The Lady Bearcats will next face Holy Cross on Thursday at 5:30 with that winner moving on to face Presentation for the championship at 7:00 PM
