We are excited to announce Phil Ellis as our new coach for the Beth Haven volleyball program!
Coach Ellis resides in the local area with his wife of 20 years, Tami and their two daughters, Alexis and Gabrielle and are members of Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
Phil first coached volleyball at Beth Haven in 2011 as the head coach of the Middle School team while assisting with the Varsity team through the 2013 season. Alexis, a 2012 Beth Haven Christian School graduate, went on to play volleyball at Spalding University, while Gabrielle currently plays for the BHCS Middle School and Varsity volleyball teams. Coach Ellis is also active at the Club Volleyball level as the director and head coach of the Louisville Venom.
I am excited to be the coach of BHCS Volleyball and look forward to getting started. I’ve coached most of the girls before and I know we can do some good things. I know if we work hard, we can have a lot of success on the court while we all grow as Christians off the court.
As a Christian School and often looked at in a different light I want that light to be a positive light, and be a team that represents and honors not only our school and parents, but above all, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Coach Ellis replaces 5-year head coach Charla Froman, who faithfully and successfully served the volleyball program for many years as both a player and a coach, before stepping down following the 2013 season.
