These students were anonymously selected based on a writing activity they completed. Each bicycle included a helmet and the students were briefly instructed on the importance of bicycle safety. All students were given a special &#8220;thank you&#8221; gift cup containing a few school supplies and a small toy.<\/p>\n<p>We thank the Louisville Metro Police Department for their service and generosity in our community!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, the local Louisville Metro Police Department awarded two bicycles to two of our Elementary students.
